Structured programming. No Gotos. Stack machines. Object-oriented programming. Xtreme Programming. These are just a few, off the top of my head, of the fads that the computing world has gone through in the last 30 years.
Every time a new 'paradigm' comes out, my paradigm shifts, like shit floating on the top of a pond.
Too bad none of them actually help us program better.
The next time you meet a proponent of one of these computer fads, give them a good smack for me. Thanks.
