To witness what is the modern web is to play the part of the modern day peon, doing as you are told by your good Lords and regeants. Give your wife on your first night.
I think not.
That's where the seekers come in, navigating the information highway (i just love saying that).
If you do a quick search on nearly any topic in any decent search engine, you'll quickly find that relevant hits are hard to find. It's a difficult task to design good search algorithms, but its made even more difficult by search engine spammers.
A few quick tips to finding relevant information:
Use multiple engines.
Learn to judge quality content by not only the hit description, but also by the url. Many spammy hits can be removed by just noticing that the url of the site you'll end up at looks vuhry suspicious.
Search usenet, and see what others who are talking about what you're looking for link to.
Don't give up and don't get sidetracked. Stay focused. You're on a mission.
Why not add some content to the net yourself?
